Are Contact Lenses Really Free?
We offer a free contact lens trial.* We will put a pair of contact lenses
on your eyes for a day of wear. At the end of the day, you return and we
will check their performance and then remove them. This gives you the opportunity
to see what contact lenses feel like and you get to experience vision without
glasses. This gives us a beginning for the actual contact lens fitting process.
Fitting you with contact lenses involves a lot more than meets the eye. It is important that your lenses give you
(1) a safe, healthy vision correction,
(2) good vision, and
(3) a comfortable fit.
The testing necessary to determine what contact lens is right for you involves careful checking of lens strength, the effect of the lens on the eye health, lens position and movement. Our fitting fees cover all of this testing as well as any and all contact lens related visits for the next twelve months. This fee does not cover the contact lenses themselves.
Conventional Contact Lens Fitting Fee: $95 (This fee covers the fitting of all but the lenses listed under the "Complicated" fee.)
Complicated Contact Lens Fitting Fee: $135 (This fee covers the fitting of bifocal contact lenses, lenses to correct astigmatism, and monovision fitting methods.)
Contact lens prices range from $130 per year to $312 per year (for some specialty lenses.)
Although some vision care insurance plans cover contact lens services, most do not and you are responsible for your contact lens fees.
* Does not include contact lenses purchased online.
